Tampa International Airport increases summer travel options: JetBlue is doubling service to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Tampa International Airport (TPA) starting June 13. The announcements as TPA ramps up offerings to summer destinations. Edelweiss is also increasing nonstop service to Zurich from Tampa to 4x a week. (thatssotampa.com)
14th annual Ecofest coming to MOSI Tampa on Earth Day: City of Tampa is hosting its 14th annual Ecofest at MOSI on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Earth Day. MOSI is located at 4801 E Fowler Ave. near the University of South Florida. There will be live music, food trucks, vendors, demos, and more. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public. Green Thumb Festival returns to Pinellas County at the end of the month: The Green Thumb Festival is returning at the end of April to St. Petersburg at Walter Fuller Park from April 27 to April 28. The event will feature over one hundred vendors and exhibitors for visitors to enjoy. The event is free to attend and over 30,000 people are expected. (ilovetheburg.com)
Universal offering new Florida resident deal for 4 days of fun at Orlando theme parks: Universal Orlando Resort is offering residents across Florida, including those in Tampa, a new deal. The deal is known as the “Buy 2 Days, Get 2 Days Free on a 2-Park 2-Day Ticket” special (try saying that two times fast). The promotion offers four days of access Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Volcano Bay access is also available for an upgrade. Tickets must be used by Dec. 18 and blockout dates and restrictions apply. (baynews9.com)
President Biden visiting Tampa next week: U.S. President Joe Biden is planning to visit Tampa next week. No scheduled has been released for the visit at this time. Polls currently show President Biden losing Florida to former President Trump by 9 points, according to three polls from RealClearPolitics. Republicans in Florida have also increased their advantage in voter registration to nearly 1 million votes. (wtsp.com)
