Crisp & Green shutters Water Street Tampa location with little notice: Crisp & Green has shuttered its Water Street Tampa location, according to a news report from Tampa Bay Business Journal. The closure happened with little notice. The location was barely open for a year with a ribbon cutting ceremony held back in April 2023. (subscription: bizjournals.com, free: carloseats.com)
Express retailer closing 2 locations in Tampa Bay amid bankruptcy and sale: Fashion retailer Express has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is closing 95 locations nationwide. The locations closing in Tampa are at Citrus Park Town Center and Countryside Mall in Clearwater. Closings began Tuesday and the retailer said the closures are part of a sale. (wfla.com)
Flatbread & Butter soft opens in downtown Tampa: Flatbread & Butter is now in soft opening in downtown Tampa at AVE Tampa located at 101 W Tyler St. Guests can find coffee and tea drinks on the menu including the iconic espresso tonic. The concept is also in St. Petersburg. (thatssotampa.com)
Lingr St. Pete shutting down on April 27: Lingr restaurant in St. Petersburg is shutting down on Saturday, April 27 in order for Chef Jeffrey Jew to care for his mother, according to an announcement posted online. Chef Jeffrey Jew carries plenty of recognition from television and is one of the most acclaimed chefs in St. Petersburg. The restaurant opened in the summer of 2020. (carloseats.com)
FBI captures Jan. 6 fugitive on the Clearwater man allegedly on the run from police since 2023: The FBI arrested a Clearwater man authorities said was part of the Jan. 6 Insurrection on Capitol Hill in 2020. The suspect, who the FBI claims breached the Capitol, is being transferred to Washington D.C. to stand trial after becoming a fugitive in 2023 fleeing from police after an initial arrest. The man is facing numerous criminal charges. (wtsp.com)
