Hao Wah Chinese restaurant shutting down in South Tampa this weekend: The legendary Hao Wah Chinese restaurant in South Tampa is shuttering this weekend after over 40 years of business. FBI seeks man with Tampa ties for murder case, reward offered: The FBI is seeking a man with ties to Tampa in relation to a murder. Detectives say the suspect, Joshua Ismael Campos, allegedly killed someone at a South Florida apartment complex on Southwest 270 Street in Miami on July 25, 2021. The man also has ties to Georgia, Alabama, and Texas as well as well as Fort Pierce and Miami in Florida. $10,000 is being offered in exchange for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Florida Supreme Court sides with Seminole Tribe in gambling dispute: The Supreme Court of Florida has prevented a challenge to an exclusive gambling deal between Seminole Tribe and Florida, denying the legal challenge on legal technicalities. The deal is expected to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars for both the Seminole Tribe and Florida state government. Florida has already raked in over $120 million from the deal. (wtsp.com)
USF planning to open college for artificial intelligence next year: The University of South Florida (USF) is planning to launch a new college focused on artificial intelligence as AI grips the planet. If approved, the first year of operation would be in fall of 2025 according to a report from WUSF. USF was one of the first universities in Florida to focus on cybersecurity as well as the need rises for the more technical fields. (wusf.org)
