Footage captures violent brawl in Riverview neighborhood, 3 people shot and injured: Video footage captured a brawl in Riverview Wednesday included gunshots fired and 3 people injured. The incident happened at Sweet Sapling Street off U.S. Highway 301, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). Victims of the shooting have been identified as 22-year-old Ajani Brown, 20-year-old Tykira Franklin, and 18-year-old Zakia Franklin. No one has been arrested yet in the incident. (wfla.com)
Local Tampa Bay politicians resign after financial disclosure law enacted: A new Florida law requiring public officials to disclose financial information is leading to a wave of resignations in Pinellas County and Pasco County. The law requires certain disclosures, including net worth and any assets owned over $1,000. Over a dozen officials in Pasco County and Pinellas County have resigned in response. Nearly the entire St. Pete Beach city council, including the Vice Mayor, have resigned. Several cities are now asking volunteers to fill the seats. (fox13news.com)
