Dead body found in Tampa mangroves: An investigation is underway after police found a dead man’s body in mangroves near the 2400 block of Chapin Street on Monday. The cause of death for the man has not been released by authorities as of Monday evening. (wfla.com)
Hello Kitty Truck coming to Tampa’s Westshore Plaza this weekend: The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming to Westshore Plaza in Tampa near the H&M at Westshore Plaza on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans can purchase exclusive merchandise and snacks at the truck. Superstar Lionel Messi coming to Tampa on Feb. 14: Inter Miami CF will face Orlando City SC at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Feb. 14. The game is the first time Messi plays in Tampa, according to WUSF. Information is available at soccerintampabay.com. (wusf.org)
Tampa brings back rental assistance: City of Tampa has reopened its Rental and Move-In Assistance Program to help those struggling with rising rent in Tampa. The funds can help cover security deposits, first and last month’s rent, past due rent, and/or a limited monthly subsidy. The city helped more than 900 households in 2024. (abcactionnews.com)
