Feeding Tampa Bay opens new $60 million facility: Feeding Tampa Bay has opened its new facility in the battle against hunger. Cold storage has expanded by ten times the old size and will allow the nonprofit to keep up with the demand for food. The new facility is 215,000 square feet and cost $60 million to build. Uptown Music & Arts Festival this weekend in downtown Tampa: Uptown Music & Arts Festival is coming to downtown Tampa this weekend and May 25 and 26. The line-up includes Alex Harris, Jose Valentino, Charlton Singleton, and more. The jazz and art festival will take place at Curtis Hixon Park at 600 N Ashley Dr. It is produced by UEG Productions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. (cltampa.com)
NHC monitoring tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean: The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical wave that has formed in the Atlantic Ocean ahead of hurricane season. The storm has a 10 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression. Estimates are that this will be an active season in the tropics. (fox13news.com)
